Zombait introduced a new take on ‘the walking dead’ as it made its ICAST debut yesterday – the Swimming Dead.

The Boston, Massachusetts business is introducing a new idea in Orlando this week that it believes will revolutionise the way anglers fish with livebait.

Simply put, the technique involves inserting the tube-shaped Zombait into a dead bait to ‘bring it alive’.

As a long-dead fish wriggled its way around the tank beside him, the company’s co-founder and electrical engineer, Jessy Cusack, explained: “Using advanced technology and robotics, Zombait makes dead baits appear to swim.

“It works anytime, anywhere with no exceptions. Zombait removes the uncertainty and hassle of fishing with live bait.”

‘Look alive out there’ is the company’s slogan and Cusack and Business Development Manager Betsy Varian are certainly doing that at ICAST.
