Thomas Wæver, Wiley X European Vice President and Outdoor Director (left) welcomes FTT’s General Manager, Michał Kuźniar to the fold.

Following a meeting at EFTTEX in Warsaw, Wiley X has secured another distribution agreement, taking its total number of international partnerships to well over the 30 mark.

The latest company to partner with the leading sunglasses and protective eyewear brand is Gdansk-based FTT, which will be the company’s official supplier to the fishing market in Poland.

Michał Kuźniar, General Manager, of FTT, told Angling International that he believes Wiley X products will be perfect for the demanding Polish market. He said: “There are over one million anglers in our market and most of them are fed up with ‘one trip’ brands that break or get scratched on a fishing trip.

“Anglers in Poland care about quality and I am sure that they have been waiting for such a product that will make their fishing experience much more convenient and safe.”

FTT is a newly formed business development company that has been established to introduce international premium brands to the Polish fishing market as well as export tackle from the country to abroad.

Thomas Wæver, Wiley X European Vice President and Outdoor Director, added: “The will to succeed is often seen through action. In the case of FTT in Poland I have witnessed this firsthand as both Michal Kuźniar and Sales Director Lukasz Siminski are all in – only focusing on bringing Wiley X to the market.

“They are both highly driven by the force they picked up working for Red Bull in Poland for well over six years and I have high expectations of them both as everything they have worked on before has been a success.

“2016 will be a fantastic year for Wiley X in Poland as we are already working with distributors in the hunting, shooting, airsoft and now fishing markets.”
