The new Saltiga® G Travel Boat Rods from Daiwa feature a unique ferrule that bends with the rod blank.

“The problem with multi-piece rods is that normally there is a noticeable dead spot at the ferrules,” says Daiwa. “That flat, unbending spot means you are not getting the full benefit out of your rod blank in helping you to cast or fight the fish.

“A one-piece rod is tough to travel around with – especially on small airlines. However, compact saltwater travel rods have arrived that bend with a smooth, powerful curve comparable to a single piece rod.

“It’s the result of our V-Flex™ Ferrules that actually bend with the blank rather than create a stiff, dead spot in the curve.”

Four actions are offered, two spinning and two conventional, complete with a semi-hard travel case measuring 34” in length.

Other features include:

  • Three-piece travel design;
  • Powerful Glatech™ blank construction;
  • Fuji® Hardloy® guides;
  • Fuji® reel seat;
  • Triangular PowerLift™ grip;
  • Aluminium gimbal;
  • Limited lifetime warranty.
