U.S. anglers spent 12% more on fishing tackle last year than 2017, says a report from Southwick Associates.

Consumer spending in the American sport fishing tackle market grew by 12% in 2018 over the previous year, according to a new market report now available from Southwick Associates.

The increase came despite fishing participation being relatively flat for the year, with consumers spending more on fishing equipment overall, says the report.

The full report, ‘2018 Retail Market Size Report – Fishing Equipment’, provides more detailed retail dollar and unit estimates for a variety of sport fishing products.
