The Alabama Rig® introduced for saltwater anglers

Article Media Click images to enlarge +

The Alabama Rig® (TAR) has courted controversy since its inception, but there is one thing not in doubt – it catches fish.

Now Mann’s Bait Company and its inventor, Andy Poss, have moved into the saltwater arena with the creation of The Alabama Rig® II.

The newcomer to the range features heavier wires and hardware to handle larger saltwater species. These wires boast 70lb-plus breaking strain and a special clip system that allows fishermen to change the swivel and snap to the one of  choice or to replace a damaged one.

TAB II can be cast or trolled for inshore species such as trout and redfish as well as offshore fish like mackerel and mahi mahi. It is also great for striped bass both offshore and landlocked.

The rig will be available in both Shad and Mullet shapes with two colours of each shape.

Mann’s Bait Company – based in Eufaula, Alabama – is a leading manufacturer of spinnerbaits, crankbaits, soft plastics, lead lures and hollow body baits.
