The new digital platform from Angling International ‘has the capacity to showcase every new product planned for this summer’s trade shows’ and will put retailers from around the world within three clicks of making direct sales enquiries to brands.
Tacklestream’s International Sales Director, Rob Carter, said: “After ten months of planning, the Tacklestream website is now live, on all formats, and we are inviting all those brands with new products to make contact with our sales and editorial team from today.
“We intend to create the largest concentration of fishing tackle for retailers and also global distributors, and it starts now with the tackle set for launch at EFTTEX, ICAST and IFTD. We have the capacity to showcase every new product planned for this summer’s trade shows.”
Carter added: “The trade has been rocked by uncertainty, but Tacklestream offers a clear path towards international sales for all those brands who were expecting to reach new customers at the shows. Your new launches can be uploaded quickly and cost-effectively and you will have a route to new markets this year.”
Tacklestream combines its huge showcase of products with functionality that allows brands to connect directly with new trade customers. It is the latter that puts the site above any other media platform servicing the trade, says Carter.
He continued: “We have always had the capacity to secure content from around the world. In fact, no other media brand serving the tackle trade has the global reach of Angling International and now Tacklestream. The brands we support stretch from Asia to Europe to the USA and cover all points in between.
“It means the amount of content on the Tacklesteam site will only be limited by the ambitions of our advertising brands. If they supply it, we will showcase it. Retailers will be able to explore for hours and select new suppliers from the widest possible pool, including many brands they may never have encountered before.”
But, adds Carter, the real difference is the ability of those retailers to click and make a direct sales enquiry. “Every upload includes an image, product details and sales advice for retailers. But it also includes a click-through button for retailers to enquire directly to the supplier.
“It means retailers are just three clicks away from making a direct sales enquiry. A click to enter the site, a click to view a product that interests them, and a click to message the supplier.”
And it is completely secure too. “The site is trade-only, which is why we are asking all trade visitors to follow a very quick and easy registration process. We will not allow consumers to enter the site and we will be vigilant in keeping them at bay. It means only retailers can make contact to discuss sensitive business details.
“We will also support your marketing efforts through direct emailing to attract more retailers to the site. And for that we need trade professionals to register their interest.
“Tacklestream is fast, easy and secure. It has the capacity to bring the trade together quickly after some tumultuous months. It will grow with your support, and it begins this week with brands supplying the details of their new tackle. We are excited about the possibilities.”
