Svendsen Sport, a consistent winner in the EFTTEX Best New Product Awards, continued its proud tradition in the competition last week in Amsterdam.

Two of the Danish company’s brands took prizes – Savage Gear and DAM – alongside Okuma, which it distributes in Europe. This was followed up with Commended placings for Prologic, DAM and Savage Gear.

For the eighth year running Savage Gear stepped up to the stage, taking first place in the Best New Soft Lure category for its 4D Line Thru’ Pike, while DAM was recognised in the Best New Metal Lure category for its MADCAT A-Static Rattlin’ Spoons.

Okuma won its first ever award at EFTTEX, taking the prestigious Best New Rod award for the Helios SX.

Other major winners in the awards, supported by Angling International, included Daiwa, with wins in three categories: Best New Fixed Spool Reel, Best New Multiplier Reel and the category for Best New Boxes, Holdalls, Bags and Luggage. Rapala VMC Corporation completed a double with its Sufix 131 braid and Super Shadow Rap hard lure.
