Social media face to support UK participation push

The Angling Trust has appointed popular social media face, Zenia Drury-Gregorek ,as an ambassador to help grow participation in the UK.

A leading face on social media has joined the UK representative body for angling to help its work in growing participation in the sport.

Zenia Drury-Gregorek, an angling presenter and Shakespeare ambassador, has joined the Angling Trust’s team of ambassadors to help its work in protecting fish and fishing and encouraging families to take up the sport. She regularly shares videos and photographs of her fishing with family and friends on  ‘Zenia’s Fishing Adventures’, Facebook, and Instagram.

“I am really looking forward to working with the Angling Trust and spreading the word about fishing as widely as possible to encourage other mum’s out there – like me – to take up fishing and enjoy the countless benefits angling brings to families nationwide.”

Dean Asplin, Angling Trust Partnership Manager, said: “Zenia is one of the bubbliest personalities who I have had the pleasure to work with in the angling world. She is extremely motivated to enthuse more people of all ages to take up this wonderful, inclusive sport.

“We will be working together in many ways to support more people to get fishing. It is fantastic to have another young female voice on board to help raise awareness about all the positives angling has to offer. There is no doubt she will make a brilliant Angling Trust ambassador.”
