Simms strengthens in bass sector by appointing Leeth

Patterson Leeth has been appointed to boost Simms’ marketing efforts in the bass fishing sector.

Simms Fishing Products has further strengthened its marketing efforts in the bass fishing sector with the appointment of Patterson Leeth as Community Leader – Lake.

The Montana manufacturer of waders, footwear and technical apparel has hired the former FLW (Fishing League Worldwide) VP of Marketing to lead all its efforts in lake marketing initiatives.

While traditionally associated with the fly fishing market, Simms has in recent years diversified into bass fishing. Leeth’s responsibilities include developing relationships with pro anglers, advising on events, counseling distribution and product strategies and building relationships with influencers and industry partners.

The connection with the bass community that Leeth brings is seen by Simms as essential to driving its awareness in the prodigious lake fishing sector.

“Having Patterson join the marketing team is going to have a huge impact on our footprint in all aspects of the lake fishing community,” said Simms Director of Product Marketing, Rich Hohne. “The lake community has become increasingly important to Simms.”

Leeth has been replaced at FLW by Kelly Oettinger.
