Two of Shimano North America’s ICAST 2018 award-winners were recognised once again at the Pitman Creek Wholesalers Show earlier this month.

The SLX baitcasting reel was judged as overall best in show as well as winning the reel category during the event which also saw Shimano’s PowerPro Super8Slick V2 braid named best fishing line.

The reel judged as overall best in show as well as winning the reel category. Steve Riley, of Sportco Marketing, Shimano’s sales group, which works closely with Pitman Creek, said: “The SLX 150 is the ‘one more fish, one more cast, ‘can’t stop fishing option’ for a large number of bass anglers. And we also think dealers attending the show are pretty sharp for selecting the PowerPro braid as the best fishing line just as dealers and media did at the 2018 ICAST show.”

One of the industry’s premier tackle distributors, servicing more than 2,000 retail locations in 49 states and several countries, Pitman Creek’s show highlighted what bass anglers can expect to see on dealers’ shelves in 2019.
