Shimano has announced that from February next year it will go direct to Polish fishing tackle dealers.
↑ Shimano Europe Fishing Holding Managing Director, Cor Ax, believes direct distribution in Poland will sharpen its offering to tackle dealers in the country.

Shimano has today announced that it is to further develop its recently expanded bike division distribution centre in Poland to include fishing tackle.

The Polish bike components and fishing tackle distribution will be combined and distributed from the Poznan warehouse under one organisation from February 1, 2017. Until then, Normark Polska will continue to sell Shimano angling products to Polish dealers on an exclusive basis.

For the last 14 years Shimano has enjoyed a successful partnership with Normark Polska. Despite the change both companies say they are committed to delivering superior service to Polish customers.

Cor Ax, Shimano Europe Fishing Holding Managing Director, said: “We believe that by focusing on each other’s own brands we can sharpen our offering to dealers in Poland. We look forward to the prospect of providing an enhanced service and strong commercial proposition to dealers in the country in the near future.”

Mikko Häikiö, Sales and Distribution Director, Central Eastern Europe, Rapala VMC Corporation, said: “Normark Polska’s assets are strong customer focus and a broad fishing tackle brands portfolio covering all Polish fishing styles and techniques. We continuously work on expanding and adding new categories and products to our range to better serve our customers needs and provide more excitement for Polish fishermen.”
