Shimano braid brand PowerPro gets a makeover

Shimano brand, PowerPro, is being given a makeover that will include an updated website and new logo.

Braid maker, PowerPro, is introducing a new logo, new packaging and an updated website over the next few months.

“We challenged ourselves to change everything without changing a thing,” said the Shimano brand’s Product Manager, Tom Woldruff. 

“This includes the use of the best Spectra fibres available through our long-time relationship with Honeywell Technologies and our proprietary innovations like Enhanced Body Technology (EBT). This crafts a family of specific fishing braids that anglers can depend on.”

Woldruff says PowerPro couldn’t be happier with its new logo. “By bringing the fish in the logo to life, with emotion in its eye, and using the strong line across the top, it really captures the PowerPro story of connecting two living things on each end of the line with a mutual respect for one another.”

“Anglers will know it is the same PowerPro they know and trust. If it doesn’t say EBT on the box, it’s not PowerPro.”

Redesigned PowerPro packaging sporting the new logo will be on retailers’ shelves later this spring and early summer. It is the first change to the logo since Shimano acquired the brand in 2008.

Manufactured in Grand Junction, Colorado, Powerpro is sold in more than 60 countries.
