The Shadow Caster fishing kayak is among the headline products in a range of equipment introduced by Field & Stream.
The one-person, sit-on-top kayak is easy to manoeuvre, has plenty of space to store gear and is extremely stable, says the US business. A no-slip deck and stand-assist strap are also provided for anglers who want to fish on their feet.
Based on a tri-hull design, the Shadow Caster has a patent-pending Lift Link seat which flips back to provide additional standing room.
There are twist-lock foot pegs for quick adjustment, two flush mounted rod holders, two paddle parks and a double twist-lock waterproof hatch.
Also among Field & Stream’s latest collection is the Tec-Spec Arsenal spinning rod, which combines 40 and 46-ton graphite in the blank. The split grip handle is made from solid cork and intended to provide a classic look and help reduce weight. It is combined with a Fuji SK2 split-reel seat. Line guides are the Fuji K Series with Alconite rings.
In the apparel market, Field & Stream offers the men’s Ever Shade Tech Shirt and Men’s Harbor Woven Shorts. Using technology called SmartWick, the manufacturer says the shirt fabric is quick-drying and absorbs sweat away from the skin. It also provides UPF 50+ UV protection.
The new shorts are made from quick drying polyester rip-stop fabric with a front zippered pocket, utility pocket, back pocket, two hand pockets and two cargo pockets. They are available in brown or khaki.
Field & Stream is owned and operated by Dick’s Sporting Goods and its products can be found at both Field & Stream and Dick’s Sporting Goods stores.
