Scierra takes fishing videos to a whole new level

Sierra’s new X-Stretch waders were put through their paces on an army assault course in Denmark.

When the marketing people at Svendsen Sport brand Scierra wanted to demonstrate the strength of its new X-Stretch waders, they decided to film them being tested to the extreme by what they described as three of the most ‘badass’ soldiers they could find.

Using a fully functioning military base just outside the Danish capital of Copenhagen, the chosen trio donned the four-way stretchable waders and put them through the most demanding of tests – an army assault course.

The film of their challenge – a far cry from the run-of-the-mill fishing promotional videos – went live last week and proved an instant hit. Svendsen Sport Marketing Manager Ken Bloch-Frederiksen told Angling International: “We wanted to do something totally different that demonstrated the outstanding performance of the waders.

“The video stemmed from an idea from one of our employees, who is a former soldier. He felt it was an ideal and novel way of achieving our objective.

“The film was produced totally in-house – an outstanding example of the talent we have within the company.

“This is only the start and we will look to make similar funny, out of the ordinary videos that have a serious message and create attention in the market. Svendsen Sport stands for innovation and being different.”
