Scientific Anglers has completely revamped its entry-level AirCel series for 2016.
↑ The AirCel Panfish fly line is suitable for 5- and 6- weight rods.
↑ The AirCel line is available in four species-specific tapers, including bass.

Launched in 1959 as the first modern floating line, Scientific Anglers AirCel series has been completely revamped for 2016.

Now featuring a welded front loop and raised telecast bump to indicate where to begin the cast, Scientific Anglers says that the AirCel provides a premium piece of technology at an affordable price.

“We’ve had welded loops on our premium lines for a number of years, but we knew we owed it to our customers to add them to our lower priced ones as well,” said Director of Wholesale Brad Befus. “We hope that this added piece of convenience will help anglers just getting into the sport enjoy their time on the water and spend less time worrying about nail knots.”

The redesigned AirCel lines will be available in general floating taper in line weights 4-9, along with four specific tapers:

  • The Trout 5-6, for 5- and 6- weight rods;
  • The Trout 6-7, for 6- and 7- weight rods;
  • The Panfish for 5- and 6- weight rods;
  • The Bass for 7- and 8- weight rods.

Each line is 82ft long with a 40ft head. It has an MSRP of $29.95 (US) and will be available through Scientific Anglers’ dealers in September 2015.
