Tipped to be the star of the 250 new product launches from Sert brand, Sakura, at next month’s Clermont-Ferrand fishing show is the Roll Kicker.
↑ The 22-rod Speciz collection, which is being launched at Clermont-Ferrand by Sakura, has been designed to have models for all types of fresh and saltwater fishing.

The SERT brand, Sakura, will be launching the bulk of its 250 new products at next month’s Carrefour National Pêche & Loisirs (Clermont-Ferrand) show, renowned as the curtain raiser to the French fishing season.

And one of the undoubted stars of the event is tipped to be the Roll Kicker 180S, a jointed lipless swimbait, which Sakura Product Manager Franck Rosmann says boasts a ‘very special’ action. “It stands out from the classic hard swimbaits by its brand new and exclusive rolling action,” he told Angling International.

“It has been developed after a full season of field tests and its action is guaranteed to be a nightmare for pike. It comes to life slowly or at medium speed, but also moves quickly without losing its balance,” he added.

Its slow sinking density allows it to fish the top of the weed beds with ease. It also boasts a ventral-free eyelet to allow the use of a Sakura ‘Plomb Clip Poire’ to add extra weight to it.

The Roll Kicker measures 180mm, weighs 78g and has a swimming depth of up to 1m.

Sakura will also be unveiling its Speciz rods range. It is made up of 22 versions which have been designed to cater for all types of fresh and saltwater fishing. They are medium high-end models that have advanced technical features and quality components, but which represent ‘remarkable’ value for money.

Built using precision IM24T carbon blanks from Mitsubishi, of Japan, the rods are light, and said to be well balanced and remarkably sensitive.
