River2Sea, the top international lure brand that has just launched a European distribution company, has introduced a range of new products in its 2013 catalogue.

In its Ish Monroe series, the Biggie and Bling will make their debut in the forthcoming season. The Biggie is a pair of squarebilled crankbaits, comprising the Poppa with a 2-5/8-inch body and the Smalls, which measures 2¼ inches.

Each is available as a fast floating version with a solid single rattle called ‘Bumpin’ and a slow floating silent model ‘Creepin’.

When allowed to float to the surface, ‘Bumpin’ rises at around one foot per second and ‘Creepin’ at about half that speed, giving anglers a crankbait for coldwater situations.

Biggie comes in10 colours and is armed with ultra-strong River2Sea hooks.

The Bling comes in 3/8 oz and ½ oz and three blade combinations – a double willow, a tandem with a small Colorado kicker and willowleaf blade, and a version with a small Colorado kicker and an Indiana blade on the swivel.

The blades are made of a new metal alloy, meaning that they are ultra light and thin, ensuring they spin faster and vibrate more. The material is also resilient and will flex slightly and pop back into shape when contact is made with cover while casting.

Bling is built on River2Sea’s Big Bite black nickel hook and all skirts are hand-tied for maximum durability. It comes in six colours.

River2Sea says that when its pro-staffer Scott Martin won the 2011 Forrest Wood Cup, the Rover lure played an important part in producing the key fish that helped him close out the $600,000 victory.

Since then Martin has taken the already dynamic walking bait and added his hand-tuned effects to create a slashing, knocking topwater bait that can’t be left alone.

He has tail-weighted the lure to slightly elevate the face, giving the $6000K Rover a whole new attitude and action.

The castable Umbrella Rig came onto the scene this year and created a buzz in the US that few other products have created. Now, thanks to Elite Series pro John Murray, River2Sea introduces his new Bumbershoot.

The company says that there is no other rig like it on the market. It is equipped with interchangeable wire harnesses that are ready to accept spinning blades or jigheads rigged with minnow swimbaits. The Bumbershoot Rig will help present the illusion of a school of baitfish to bass, pike or any other gamefish in the water.
