Reuben Heaton launches Eagle Claw social media sites

Reuben Heaton, distributor of Eagle Claw in the UK and Ireland, has unveiled the first stage of its dedicated social media framework for the US-based hook brand with the launch of a Facebook page.
The site made its debut at the beginning of the month and is being followed by dedicated feeds for Instagram (#eagleclaweurope) and Twitter (@eagleclawEU).
Andrew Race, Managing and Sales Director at Reuben Heaton, said: “Having developed significant interest in Eagle Claw brands via our social media streams, it was felt that the weight of traffic now warranted a separate social media presence for all things Eagle Claw in the UK and Ireland.
“With Eagle Claw’s involvement in national and European angling events having a positive effect for its brands outside the UK and Ireland, the decision was taken to launch the campaign with the name Eagle Claw Europe.
“The new Eagle Claw media streams will be supported by significant investments in new infrastructure on the main Reuben Heaton website.” These web developments will include:
• Increased functionality for product searches and information;
• Improved ‘Where to buy’ retailer section enabling searches by geographic region or hook brand;
• New front page for the Eagle Claw products section with separate social media feed;
• Dedicated email for information and feedback on Eagle Claw.
“Together with regular features and seasonal posts from pro-staff, our format is designed specifically to connect anglers with both retailers and the brand to promote awareness of both,” added Race.
“As part of our commitment to support the angling trade and independent retailers, pages will contain regular spotlights dedicated to individual Eagle Claw retailers, the products they stock and events they hold.”
