PR agency appointed by supplier of bespoke eyewear for fishing market

Edward Solomons, of Edwards Eyewear, which has appointed Bloxham PR to represent the company.

Despite the challenges posed to new businesses, UK brand, Edwards Eyewear, founded only last year, is so encouraged by its first 12 months in business that it has just appointed a PR company.

Edward Lyons, and world champion clay shooter, Edward Solomons, have announced a partnership with Bloxham PR, which also represents the famous Farlows fishing brand.

Lyons, an optometrist who counts Olympic medalists, Premier League football teams and members of the Royal Family among his customers, and Solomons believe they have spotted a gap in the fishing and shooting markets for high quality bespoke eyewear.

The pair’s contemporary designs are produced in the UK and Italy, with every pair made to order. The polyamide lenses are supplied by the world-renowned Carl Zeiss Vision.

The company’s Milan and Venice styles have been designed specifically with country sports in mind and are the most popular styles amongst the angling and field sports communities. 

Sustainability is a key element of the Edwards Eyewear production process and Lyons and Solomons have ensured the brand has a traceable and transparent story behind its supply chain and materials.

All of the frames are made from natural materials and bioplastics. All cellulose acetate material is hypoallergenic, biodegradable and recyclable. Packaging is also 100% biodegradable.
