German line manufacturer Ockert is relaunching its award-winning Climax brand at EFTTEX next week with a totally new offer that will help retailers and distributors ‘get back into business with braided line’.

Underpinned by a bright, new and modern-looking logo, Climax will be showing off improvements to four of its top selling braided lines that will be offered at ‘hugely’ attractive prices to ensure its customers can make money out of them.

Export Manager Christian Rademann explained: “Cheap braid coming onto the market in recent years has had a dramatic effect on retailers and distributors who have seen their margins destroyed. We have looked closely at this and decided that it is time to level the playing field and relaunch Climax.

“Our brand new line of products is of higher quality, allows our partners to earn good money and – most important – includes an aspect which today is widely neglected especially in fishing lines: Ockert’s unique dyeing and finishing process for braided lines. It is 100 per cent ‘green’. We run the only process in the world that has no detrimental effect on the environment whatsoever – absolutely zero.”

New products that have been given the treatment include the Carat 12, which now is even rounder and smoother than its predecessor that two years ago won the line category in the Best New Product Awards at the China Fish trade show. Also receiving the treatment is the iBraid, a line for predator and ultra-light finesse fishing. This Teflon-coated braid starts at 0.04mm, is incredibly soft and has been entered in the Best New Product Awards at EFTTEX.

The Blade Line for predator fishing and the well-established MiG series have also been upgraded. All the braids are made in Germany to the exacting high standards that are traditionally expected from a German manufacturer and all with zero contamination to the environment.

Standard improvements across the four products include better colour fastness, increased durability and smoothness. Some have added Teflon coatings to reduce friction and increase abrasion resistance.
