New lures are taking centre-stage on Tacklestream right now, including two releases from US brand 13 Fishing.
Tacklestream is the new digital platform from the makers of Angling International which showcases new tackle from brands around the world and connects them directly to retailers and distributors in new markets. The objective is to create the world’s largest, fastest and best online showcase of new fishing gear available to the tackle trade. Registration is quick and easy and retains the trade-only integrity of the site.
Latest additions to the site’s scrolling stream of new tackle include eye-catching lures from Mustad and Culprit.
The 13 Fishing Pleasure Shad is part of the brand’s drive to take the high standards of its rods and reels and duplicate them in the lures market. The model is instantly recognisable from the deep ribs along its body, which increase vibrations in the water and help it swim through the densest of cover. Retailers are advised to draw attention to the infusion of a flavour called ‘Donkey Sauce’ which makes the Pleasure Shad even more irresistible.
Also from 13 Fishing is the Caboose Craw, which is described as a highly buoyant soft plastic lure that makes a perfect trailer. Like all tackle featured on the Tacklestream site, if retailers like what they see from 13 Fishing, they can make a direct and completely private and secure sales enquiry to the company’s sales team with one click of the button under the product description.
Mustad’s offering is a new Mini version of its popular InkVader, launched last year. Scheduled to be rolled out in Asian Pacific markets first, followed by Australia, the InkVader is destined to be a real head-turner on retailers’ shelves thanks to the way it replicates a small octopus complete with lifelike tentacles and an ability to squirt a trail of ‘ink’.
From Culprit comes the Flutter Craw, which is said to bridge the gap between a creature bait, a crawfish bait and a double tail grub. As its name suggests, the lure’s underwater action creates a seductive fluttering action that predators find hard to resist. Retailers interested in addling it to their shelves should use the ‘Trade Enquiry’ button on the website.
Says Tacklesteam Business Manager, John Watson: “Tacklestream is growing strongly. Retailers who visit the site to view products from well-known brands are also seeing new tackle from brands they may never have considered before.
“And because every product is given equal space on the site, it means new tackle from lesser-known brands is sitting right alongside products from big global players.
‘We update the site constantly, moving new products to the top of the listings, so if you have a great product you have every possibility of catching the eye of retailers and converting them into new customers.”
