New-look Middy continues march into Europe

UK match brand Middy has introduced a new logo which it says will deliver more consistent branding across the board.
↑ The Nano-Core poles from UK manufacturer Middy have generated interest from a distributor in Belgium.

UK match brand Middy, which has just revealed a new logo, has continued its growth in continental Europe with the signing of three new distribution deals.

The company has linked up with Zepri s.r.l (Italy), Ajas (Portugal) and Lodex Hengelsport (Netherlands) to handle sales to retailers in their respective countries. It has also revealed that it is in negotiations with a potential partner in Belgium who believes its Nano-Core poles can be a bestseller in the region along with the Hi-Viz elastic range.

Middy CEO David Middleton said: “With Middy doing so well in Great Britain and having consolidated a dominance here as one of the top five brands in competition fishing for innovation, quality and brand perception, it makes sense for us to focus on exporting our success to new markets.

“We have now made it as simple for a Dutch retailer to deal with us as it would be for one based in the UK.”

Middy’s new logo will be introduced across all of its packaging and advertising. Middleton said that it has been incorporated as part of a new, more consistent branding across the board.

“It can only help further establish Middy as the number one match brand in the UK,” he added.
