Momoi Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO - Fishing Line for Saltwater Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO is available in pink so it disappears quickly.

Retailers specialising in saltwater tackle have a new reason to be cheerful, the launch of a new fluorocarbon leader from Japanese saltwater line specialist Momoi.

Momoi is famed for the quality of its tough and strong fluorocarbon lines, which have less stretch than rival fluorocarbons. Its newest launch, Fluorocarbon NEO, is the latest line to be brought to market under its high-end brand, Hi-Catch. It is distinguished by its bright pink colour – a deliberate design innovation, says Momoi, as pink is the first colour to disappear underwater.

Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO was introduced to the trade at the Australian Fishing Trade Association Show in August. Momoi expects it to sell well wherever dedicated saltwater anglers go fishing and has also stressed that it is versatile enough to work as a tippet for fly fishing.

Says Momoi’s Ken Harada: “Momoi has a reputation for producing some of the toughest fluorocarbon in the world, with less stretch than other suppliers’ lines. The benefit to anglers is that they can feel more bites.

“Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO is a 100% fluorocarbon line made to the highest standards in Japan. This is our top-end brand and we have added extra innovation with this latest launch by producing it in pink. It disappears more quickly in the water.

“We launched it in Australia and are already introducing it to other countries. Our main target is the saltwater market, but Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO would also be good for tippets in fly fishing.

“Once an angler uses NEO, he won’t go back to anything else.”

Hi-Catch Fluorocarbon NEO is available from 2lb to 150lb and in 20m spools.
