Abramis unveils new product showroom at media breakfast

Top Polish fishing tackle supplier Abramis, owner of the Mikado brand, unveiled its new product showroom at a special media breakfast held at its headquarters in Lomianki, on the outskirts of Warsaw, earlier this month.
Hosted by its owners, Board President Wojciech Kurowicki and Vice President Andrzej Maślak, representatives of the Polish and international press were also treated to a presentation of the company’s new products for 2020 and the launch of its latest catalogue.
Kurowicki said that the new product showroom not only represented an opportunity to see its latest items on display – all grouped together according to the fishing disciplines – but a real chance to see the entire and very wide range of products offered by Mikado. “We have created the face of Mikado in a room that shows off the entire Mikado brand, built around our 30 years of experience in the business,” he added.
Mikado turned 30 this year and during that period it has embedded itself in the minds of anglers both at home and abroad. “Our offer includes many items that have a legendary status within the industry and won many prestigious awards. However, we are not resting on our laurels and are constantly working on improvement and new product development,” added Kurowicki.
The success of the brand is underpinned by its constant contact with anglers and its 60-strong group of product testers from Poland and beyond which makes up the Mikado Fishing Team. “Their knowledge and experience are particularly important for us as it ensures that we are moving in the right direction,” said Kurowicki.
Agata Wiśniewska, the company’s Marketing Director, added: “The Mikado Fishing Team is a group of passionate people who create modern fishing. They are the face of the company and provide us with all the feedback from a constantly shifting angling world. It is a really important element of our company’s growth.”
Mikado says that one of its top releases for next year will be the Dream Line series which consists of eight versions: Ice, Spinning, Method Feeder, Feeder, Classic, Match, Carp, Surf, and two braids – a four-carrier Ultralight and eight-carrier Competition. The wide array comes in various spools, diameters, colours and types.
“We put a lot of time and effort into the Dream Line series,” said Kamil Czermiǹski, Head of the Product Department. “We aimed to create a product that would meet the expectations of the most demanding of anglers. I believe what we have achieved will not disappoint, but will also positively surprise everyone.”
Next season new versions of many Mikado classics will be introduced. These include the Inazuma Pro rod that has been given a total makeover and even better components. Also, the family of Lexus Sapphire rods has been increased with the addition of the LX Sapphire Fazlite for perch anglers.
For carp anglers there will be the debut of the new M-ka reel. After hitting the headlines with the top quality, minimalistic rod from the series, Mikado has created a ‘big pit’ reel that offers equally ‘amazing’ specifications and a sophisticated look.
Accessories have not been forgotten either with the launch of the watertight Big Box that features magnetic latches and a basket-type seatbox with a deck and revolving chair.
Mikado keeps growing and constantly works to diversify its offer. Last year the company became the distributor of two major brands – Garmin and Black King Kong (BKK). “Cooperation with other brands not only enriches our offer technologically, but also provides our customers with new possibilities,” said Maślak.
Sales Director Marcin Gruszczyǹski added: “Our cooperation with BKK and Garmin has been warmly welcomed by our customers and as anglers ourselves, we can appreciate the quality of those products. That is why we have expanded our range with new products from the brands.”
