Maver unveils new team following Phoenix departure

Maver, one of the UK’s best-known brands, has a new management team in place following news that Sarah Pheonix is leaving the company at the end of this month.
Toni Nash, who has been at the company for more than 20 years, is now General Manager of the Italian-owned, Redditch-based business. Glyn Reynolds, previously with Frenzee, has become Commercial Manager.
Maver, founded in 1911, recently relocated to a new facility in Redditch only a few minutes from its old Merse Road headquarters.
A statement from the Pirazzini family, owner of Maver UK, said: “Maver UK is in good hands. We have invested in a new building and a desirable product range and we are confident the brand will continue to grow.
“We would like to thank Sarah Phoenix for all her hard work in turning the business around and wish her all the best for the future.”
The company is best-known for its match fishing tackle and is sponsor of the Maver Mega ‘Match The event offers the largest cash prizes in UK angling.
Pheonix spent eight years at Preston Innovations, including four as Managing Director, before joining Maver as Managing Director in May 2016.
“It’s been a joy working with Maver and watching the brand take back its market share,” she said. “I’m confident the new management team have everything it takes to continue growing the brand and will continue to move the business forwards. I’m leaving it in good hands and am ready to start my new challenge.”
