Lund’s 1875 Pro-V Bass is described as an ‘amazingly’ fishable and functional bass boat.

“A radical and progressive boat that sets out to redefine the concept of the modern-day bass and musky fishing vessel” – that’s how Minnesota boat builder, Lund, describes its new 1875 Pro-V Bass model.

The Pro-V Bass is built on Lund’s benchmark IPS2 aluminium hull and features a flat centre pad, multiple lift strakes and two reverse chines, all aimed at producing a faster, more stable and drier ride.

“It’s incredible. I can’t believe how fast it gets up on plane,” said tournament pro, Jeff ‘Gussy’ Gustafson, after his first test ride. “With tons of extras too, this rig is the perfect platform for bass or musky anglers.

“Lund has engineered an amazingly fishable, functional bass boat with the best aluminium V-hull in the industry. It is great for running smallwater, skinny water or big waves.”

Another tournament luminary, James Lindner, endorses Gustafson’s views. “What’s remarkable about the Pro-V Bass is its incredible responsiveness and short recovery time in the waves,” he said. “The ride is so smooth and stable, especially in big water, and it will be an incredible new experience for bass anglers more accustomed to fiberglass.

“Spearing waves when the water is cold isn’t much fun and that’s one of the main reasons I love the IPS2 hull. I’m not sure it’s even possible to spear a wave with this light, speedy hull. Staying dry and safe is always a good thing.”

The Pro-V Bass is rated for up to a 200 HP outboard. With a lighter load, the 200 HP Optimax hits speeds in excess of 60mph, while maintaining a soft ride over rough seas.

The boat comes in two distinct seating variations – the classic bench style or the multi-species pedestal version. The former features a patent-pending gas-assisted tackle storage facility that rises vertically out of the back deck.

The pedestal lay-out includes two swivel cockpit seats and two additional ‘jump’ seats which flip up and instantly fold back down into the rear casting deck, providing seating for up to four anglers.

The Pro-V Bass is 18ft 9in long and weighs 1475lb. Storage accommodates rods up to 9ft
