Randy Howell’s Bassmaster Classic victory in 2014 catapulted Livingston Lures into the media spotlight.
His success in the ‘Superbowl of Fishing’ in Birmingham, Alabama, with one of the company’s baits secured Livingston instant recognition and credibility within the fishing tackle trade and with anglers across the globe.
This year Howell will be lining up with Livingston’s two other Elite anglers, fellow Bassmaster winner, Casey Ashley, who took the crown last year, and Jacob Powroznik, 2014 Bass Rookie of the Year.
The company’s Kendell Hodges told Angling International: “We are very excited about this year’s event as the lake is set up well for a crankbait win. We have several lures that have been introduced over the last 12 months as well as a number that the pros will be fishing at the Classic that have not been released yet.
“They have used them in the practice days and believe that they will be key in their arsenal. There are a lot of great anglers fishing the tournament and Grand Lake is a big venue that will demand a lot of effort and wisdom.
“We feel we have got some of the best anglers around and a line-up of great lures with the right designs and – of course – the clear advantage of our Electronic Baitfish Sounds technology in each one.”
Livingston will also have a big presence at the Bassmaster Expo with its regular 30sqm x 40sqm booth and will be offering ‘outstanding specials’ to consumers. Its entire line-up of Team Livingston pros will also be in attendance talking to fishing fans and signing autographs. There will also be a competition offering visitors to the booth a chance to win a fishing trip with one of the pros.
