The Koppers MasterCatalogue 2012 features the company’s LiveTarget saltwater lures series for the first time.

Seven brand new ranges were showcased at EFTTEX and ICAST earlier this year, but retailers will finally be able to get their hands on them as samples are being sent out for the first time in December.

Among them is the LiveTarget Scaled Sardine. It is said to be the perfect match for the cruising predator in search of this prolific baitfish. Koppers says the 3-D lifelike scale pattern is created by a state-of-the-art precision tooling that only Mother Nature herself could replicate.

They are available in two different models: the Twitchbait generates an erratic sub-surface flash, while the Wakebait offers a rhythmic surface dance that will ‘drive any saltwater brute crazy’.

Blueback Herring is said to be an ideal bait when gamefish target schooling herring. It also available in two models – a triple segmented Swimbait in slow and fast sinking speeds and a Double Propbait for the topwater lover.

Koppers says: “Hardcore anglers will appreciate the versatility of the tools which can be worked with a variety of techniques to generate explosive results.

“The tantalising flash point effect means the difference between fishing and catching!”

Also included in the saltwater series are Mullet, Spanish Mackerel, Menhaden, Pinfish, Spanish Sardine and Spanish Mackerel, which was entered into the Hard Lure category at the EFTTEX Best New Product Awards in Amsterdam. Watch out for more details on these LiveTarget lures here soon.

Koppers has not forgotten its freshwater range of LiveTarget lures and has also introduced a string of newcomers for 2012. The Hollow Body Field Mouse is claimed to be the perfect treat for bass and pike stalking in heavy cover, waiting to ambush their quarry. It won the Best New Soft Lure Award at ICAST in July.

“This weedless tool is most effective when skirted across the tops of pads and grass mats. However, it also has an incredible side-to-side walk-the-dog action when used in open runs,” adds Koppers.

“The intricate lifelike details make this rodent so realistic you will swear it is alive.”
