KastKing, the global online brand based in Long island, New York, has made its first move into the saltwater market.
After developing its freshwater business over the last few years, the company has entered the sea sector with spinning and casting rods.
“We have been patient and waited until we had a firm foundation in fishing rods before going after the saltwater rods market,” said KastKing CEO, Tate Cui. “We were able to draw from our experiences and testing with high-end products. The results have been outstanding.”
KastKing, an ICAST product award winner, has launched the Estuary Saltwater InShore spinning rods and the Estuary Saltwater InShore Casting rods for fish including striped bass, fluke, tarpon, snook, redfish, cobia and speckled trout.
The rods are built using KastFlex technology featuring Toray High Carbon blanks and use American Tackle Microwave guides and reel seats.
Al Noraker, the company’s VP of Business Development, said the rods have been designed to satisfy the most serious inshore anglers but at typical KastKing values.
Prices of the new rods range from $119.99 to $129.99 based on sizes. They will initially be sold on Amazon.
