Fishing tackle and boats aplenty will feature at this weekend’s Pescare Show in Vicenza, Italy.
↑ Fishermen and industry professionals alike will be flocking to the Vicenza Exhibition Centre this weekend (February 23 to 25) for the Pescare Show.

This weekend sees the most anticipated event of its kind in Italy –  the Pescare Fishing, Boating and Outdoor Show.

The international trade fair is a unique gathering for companies, professional operators and fans of sport fishing and boating and has been attracting the top brands from Italy and beyond for 20 years.

It will take place from Saturday (February 23) to Monday (February 25) in the Vicenza Exhibition Center and is the curtain raiser to the fishing season in Italy.

Pavilion Four is dedicated to fishing and other leisure boats and has been extended this year to accommodate the spectacular array of high performance craft. Inside the pavilion visitors will find an ‘exhibition within an exhibition’ with top brands in the industry showcasing the latest generation of engines and the most advanced electronic equipment available for both sea and freshwater fishing.

Fly fishing is completely covered inside Pavilion Six where there will be fly tying demonstrations and an opportunity to meet and learn the secrets of the 20 best manufacturers in the world of artificial baits. Two casting pools are also available and will be used by leading companies in the sector to show off their products.

The largest aquarium in Europe is situated in Pavilion Seven for companies and national and international organisations to carry out demonstrations of tackle from coarse fishing right the way through big game and surf casting.

Between Pavilions Six and Seven is the Fishing Arena that will play host to meetings, seminars and conferences featuring industry experts.

The show organiser, the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG, says:” The Pescare Show promises to be an increasingly engaging experience for all communities within the sport fishing sector, from professionals to anglers.

“According to date collected at the last event, the sector in Italy comprises 150 companies and 1,500 retailers. It is said to employ around 15,000 people and have a turnover estimated at around €350m.”
