Dynamite Baits goes to ICAST fresh from its victory at EFTTEX. Export and Sales Manager, Daryl Hodges is pictured with the Best Bait Award.

Leading European bait brand, Dynamite Baits, is to have its own booth at ICAST for the first time.

The UK-based company has been selling its products in the US for over a year and will be debuting at the world’s biggest fishing tackle trade show with its distributor, USCarpPro.

Dynamite goes to Orlando fresh from victory in the new product awards at last month’s EFTTEX show, where its Trout Nuggets were voted best bait. It was the first time the company had entered the awards.

Now the winning bait will be introduced to the American trade, along with a range of the company’s carp, catfish and trout baits.

“Trout Nuggets are a natural addition to the products we are selling in the US,” said Dynamite’s Export Sales and Marketing Manager, Daryl Hodges. “Having our own booth is a great way to promote our brand and baits to America’s tackle dealers.”

Dynamite Baits was acquired by Rapala in August 2010 as part of its strategy to become a major player in the carp market. Rapala CEO, Jorma Kasslin, said the intention was to take the Dynamite brand to the global market place.

USCarpPro, which operates from Round Rock in Texas, last year became the exclusive distributor for Rapala carp brands in the US.
