TUFF CAT, from McCoy Fishing, focuses on the growing catfish market

McCoy Fishing is set to introduce TUFF CAT, the newest addition to its family of premium fishing lines at ICAST next week.

Focusing on the growing catfish market, the company has expanded from its traditional mix of premium lines – co-polymer, fluorocarbon and Spectra Braid – to add a species specific line in an eco-friendly ‘Snap-Lock’ spool design.

Steve Hartigan, VP Sales and Marketing, says: “The line was specifically designed for the catfish angler who demands strength and toughness in a line that they just can’t get with a traditional monofilament.

“TUFF CAT delivers this and more,” adds Hartigan. “This new line uses a blend of nylons to improve upon conventional monofilament, giving the catfish angler a super tough and super strong fishing line.

“New for 2014, TUFF CAT is a light brown line that becomes nearly invisible in water and delivers the ultimate in strength and durability.”

It is available in 250 yard spools of 15lb to 50lb test.
