Finn Utility, a design studio on the banks of the Winooski River in Vermont, is attracting quite a following among anglers for its classically hand-crafted fly-fishing accessories.
The company uses natural materials and traditional sewing techniques to produce a range of functional, durable products. The aim is to combine the traditional with the new in products that can be handed down through generations.
The latest addition to this small but growing company’s select product line is the Hudson Knife Roll. Made from waxed canvas, leather and brass, the roll is 17 inches long by 20 inches wide and weighs just five ounces. Colours are olive and orange.
Finn founder, Ryan McDonald, who introduced the new product for 2014, said: “Its perfect for when anglers are cooking on the river, bringing cutlery for camping or just for carrying your fishing knives.”
Each roll is made to order so customers are asked to allow 10 days for manufacture and shipping. Other products in the Finn Utility range include, sidebags, wallets, duffles and reel cases.
