The Black Widow series of tournament grade rods introduced by Halo Fishing at this year’s ICAST is now available. The Palm Bay, Florida company launched in 2011 and has been to every ICAST since, but was particularly excited to launch its new range this year.

“The Black Widow is a bass series built on high-performance Japanese blanks,” explained company founder and Chief Product Designer Lionel Botha. “They are extremely lightweight and powerful with a unique taper for ultimate sensitivity and responsiveness.”

The rod is enhanced by tangle-free stainless guides with SIC inserts, an exposed 4Finger™ reel seat and custom-designed split grip Dri-Tec polymer handle.

The Black Widow is available in both casting and spinning versions. “The rods are already in some shops, as well as Tackle Warehouse,” confirmed Botha.
