Australian lure manufacturer, Halco Tackle, has introduced three new products to its comprehensive range.

The Max 220 is described as an ultra-tough, sinking bibless minnow designed to tackle huge predators, including wahoo, mackerel and tuna.

Capable of being trolled at high speeds – up to 20 kt – it features heavily-reinforced side walls to resist punctures and the incredible crunching pressure inflicted by the jaws of its intended victim.

The package is rounded off by Halco’s legendary 7xx fish rings and Mustad 9/0 Inline singles for great hooksets. Measuring 220mm and weighing 180gr, it is designed for heavy trolling.

Also new from Halco Tackle is Slidog, a tough, sinking, sliding stickbait that has been designed to take on GT’, mackerel, tuna and other trophy fish.

Like the Max 220, it features heavily-reinforced side walls and 7xx fish rings. It is armed with a Mustad 7/0 Inline single hook. Measuring 150mm and weighing 85gr, it allows long casts on medium/heavy weight casting outfits.

Halco has a brand new Laser Pro 190XD ‘Crazy Deep’ bib that is said to troll faster and is far more stable than its predecessor, while reducing the amount of draw required to hold the bait in place.

The new 6.5m-plus diver looks set to be a ‘must-have’ for all serious tournament and sport anglers alike, says the company.

“The new bib is going to be a fantastic addition to the range because of its stability and versatility,” said Ben Patrick, Halco Tackle’s Managing Director. “We had the bib regularly hitting the bottom in 6.5 metres of water during testing on a 50lb outfit with 80lb leader.  The beauty is that you can run it on 10kg line at 6 to 8kt in just about any conditions that you are likely to fish and have very few issues while doing it.”

The all new “Crazy Deep” bib has already racked up some impressive captures, including numerous Southern Bluefin Tuna up to 96kg, wahoo and mackerel. It will handle almost anything you care to throw at it.”
