Thomas Carlsson: “This partnership and FutureFly’s effective platform will strengthen our position.”

Guideline, the Scandinavian fly fishing brand, has been appointed exclusive distributor of FutureFly fly tying products in Norway, Finland, Sweden, the UK and Ireland.

The agreement means that from March 1st Guideline will stop selling the F.I.T.S. tube system, the SALAR Synthetic Series and other SALAR products, along with its own fly tying products.

Danish company FutureFly is best known for its skin and fur products and popular tube system.

“This partnership and FutureFly’s effective platform will strengthen our position in fly tying,” said Guideline’s Managing Director, Thomas Carlsson. “Shops and consumers will benefit from the new set-up, which creates a more effective value chain and provides better service and focus.

“It will also be easier for consumers to get hold of FutureFly products through our network of dealers.”

The F.I.T.S. tube system, SALAR Synthetic Series and SALAR products business will be taken over by Frödin Flies. Mikael Frödin, pioneering fly tyer, guide and salmon fisher, remains a Guideline ambassador after 19 years of close association with the company.

“In addition to testing and promotion, we will sell Frödin’s fly series and non fly tying products from existing stock throughout the 2016 season,” added Carlsson.
