↑ Simms has launched the new G4™ Pro Jacket, described as the company’s most advanced wading jacket ever.
↑ The RiverTek™ 2 Boa® Boot continues the legacy from Simms’ first foray into wading footwear with the Boa® closure system.

On the heels of a record 2014 line launch at last years’ ICAST and IFTD shows in Las Vegas, Simms was at it again with another ground-breaking product launch in Orlando.

The company, which won seven awards at the IFTD show this year, brought to Florida new gear offerings across multiple categories, including sportswear, packs and bags, footwear, waders, and outerwear.

For Spring 2015, the Simms sportswear collection continues to bring innovation to the sport. Leading the line is a new colorway for the award-winning GT TriComp LS Shirt ($119.95) – part of the company’s pinnacle G4 Collection. Simms welcomes the new Stone Cold LS Shirt in the Guide Collection, new shirts and prints in its popular Solarflex™ Collection and Off-Water Collections. All integrate cutting-edge design, construction and fabric technologies.

Simms says it takes waterproof storage to new levels with the new Dry Creek™ Z Backpack($299.95), Hip Pack($199.95) and Duffel($349.95). Each featuring the rugged TIZIP zipper, the new collection provides ample waterproof storage for angling and travel. The new Headwaters™ Gear Bag($199.95) and Tackle Bag($179.95) compliment the Headwaters™ line of Packs Simms launched at the 2013 ICAST/IFTD show. They offer advanced storage of angling tackle and gear—perfect for boat, car or plane.

Keeping anglers upright and comfortable continues to be a primary focus for 2015 with the introduction of two new boots. The RiverTek™ 2 Boa® Boot($179.95) continues the legacy from Simms’ first foray into wading footwear with the Boa® closure system while the new Freestone® Boot($139.95) re-examines the company’s most popular boot.

Both are available in felt or StreamTread™ platform with Vibram® outsole. Add in three new flips to the Simms footwear line and 2015 is looking like another banner year. For the female angler, Simms brings the Women’s Vapor Boot($169.95) based on the popular men’s version launched in 2013.

A long the leader in fishing wader innovation, Simms extends its prowess with the introduction of three waders in the Freestone® line – Freestone® Z Stockingfoot($399.95), Freestone® Stockingfoot($249.95) and Freestone® Pant ($229.95). In addition, the women’s line sees a Women’s Freestone® Stockingfoot($249.95) that has a women’s fit and feature set designed with the input of Simms’ female guide community. All utilise four-layer Toray® fabric technology and the company’s patented front and back centre seam design for durable and comfortable wading in any angling environment.

While ICAST and IFTD represented the industry’s first look at the Spring 2015 products, the shows also represented the first occasion for many to witness the 2014 Fall line of gear, launched last week. In outerwear, Simms launched the new G4™ Pro Jacket.

The company’s most advanced wading jacket ever, the G4 Pro features a lighter GORE-TEX® Pro Shell fabric and revamped features set and pocket array.

In addition, Simms is adding additional products utilising PrimaLoft® insulation in its stalwart pieces, the Kinetic Jacket($249.95) and renewed ExStream™ Jacket($249.95) and Pant($199.95).

“The new Fall line of gear—headlined with the exciting launch of the new G4 Pro™ Jacket – is truly meant for anglers to fish without regard to weather,” says Brandan Hill, Senior Director of Product. “We expect this line will achieve our goal of allowing anglers the ability to enjoy more and longer days on the water.”
