An EFTTEX regular – and one of the world’s most famous hook brands – has confirmed its support of the fast-growing World Predator Classic for 2015.
VMC will be the official hook sponsor of the event in an arrangement that will see the French-based manufacturer support the competition alongside its sister company, Rapala. It will be supplying competing anglers with prizes as well as utilising this global event to strengthen its profile as one of the industry’s premier hook brands.
“As the world’s leading brand in treble hooks we wanted to be involved with the all action cutting-edge World Predator Classic,” said VMC’s Sales and Marketing Director, Cyril Alexeline.
“VMC shares the vision of this event and can see that it encompasses all levels of angling, ranging from a fishing academy for children that have not fished before to street fishing, kayak fishing, and boat fishing.
“The inaugural event last year was a great success and having witnessed this first hand VMC wanted to become the official hook sponsor of the event alongside our sister company Rapala. The growth and expansion plans of the World Predator Classic match perfectly with the areas of the world that VMC has a strong interest in.”
Ross Honey, event founder and Managing Director of the WPC’s parent company, Angling Spirit, was equally delighted with the re-signing of VMC as a key sponsor.
He added: “We are naturally delighted to have such a prestigious global brand sponsor the World Predator Classic. VMC is a company with a long history for making top quality products and constantly innovating to remain as market leaders. Angling Spirit is pioneering a new way forward with the World Predator Classic and to have such great partners involved is a tremendous endorsement of the event we are building.”
The World Predator Classic takes place on the Haringvilet around Hellevoetsluis in the Netherlands on June 24th to 27th.
