Gene Larew Lures introduces acquisition at ICAST

Larew owner, Chris Lindenberg: “We’re proud to continue the Crappie Pro legacy.”

Gene Larew Lures wasted no time in bringing its newly-acquired Crappie Pro brand into the business.

Despite announcing the news barely two weeks beforehand, the Oklahoma company was able to include the new offering on its booth at ICAST. It also features in the latest Larew catalogue.

Crappie Pro was sold by owner, Janice Russell, almost 20 years after its launch following the death of her husband, Larry Russell, last year. Situated in neighbouring Eufala, the brand joins Bobby Garland crappie baits in the Larew portfolio.

Larew owner, Chris Lindenberg, was delighted to have his new lures at Orlando and reported an enthusiastic response from visiting dealers and media. “We’re proud to continue the Crappie Pro legacy in Larry’s honour,” he told Angling International.

Crappie Pro is known for its Next Generation jigheads and also warehouses the Wasshoppah family of baits.
