Gambler Bass Boats is under new ownership and is to continue manufacture following a break in production.
The company has been relocated to Ladson, South Carolina, by husband and wife owners, Scott and Chelsea Gouin, and is now accepting orders.
The future of the business has been the subject of considerable debate on social media, but Scott Gouin recently made the situation clear.
“We are bringing Gambler back into the marketplace,” he confirmed on the BBCBoards.net forum. “We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we prepared to bring the brand back.
“We will have a website up sometime in June, if not earlier, and Chelsea is working towards getting apparel and spare parts ready for the site as well.”
The Gambler offer will begin with its 20-foot and 22-foot single and dual console models, plus the 22-foot Sterling, now the Gambler Elite.
Gouin also explains that he is giving customers the opportunity to be a part of the company’s future by seeking their ideas and suggestions. He is already conducting a survey to identify the most popular colour combinations, which will then be adopted for the first boats.
“We would like as much information as customers can give us about what they are looking for on their next Gambler, and not just colour. We are more a custom bass boat manufacturer and we want their input.”
Gambler Bass Boats, which first appeared on the market more than 20 years ago, are well known for their speed. “We are working hard to bring back this amazing brand that will get you to your favourite spot first,” adds Gouin.
