Flying Fisherman launches ‘virtually indescructible’ Sombrero for 2015
Of the eight new-for-2015 sunglass styles launched by Flying Fisherman, the Sombrero has the most classic look. This aviator style model is made with nickel silver frames and comes with comfort-grip temple pads and adjustable nose pads for all-day wear.
The Florida Keys company’s ‘virtually indestructible’ polycarbonate RhinoLens provides eye protection from flying hooks, lures and sinkers. The lens are shatterproof and scratch resistant but lightweight, says Flying Fisherman’s Linda Sheldon.
In addition, the Sombrero has AcuTint lens colouring for clarity and polarisation. By adding colour contrast without distorting natural colours, the AcuTint system provides a clearer view, eliminating glare and reducing eye fatigue.
The Sombrero lens offer 100% protection from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Each model comes with a microfibre case and one year warranty.
Linda Sheldon and husband Pat have been making sunglasses for 30 years. Their company offers around 50 styles of polarised eyewear made for use on the water by a team of sportfishing professionals based in the Keys. It also produces the Passport range of travel rods, along with T-shirts and Sunbandit headwear.
