The date of the first-ever trade-only China International Fishing Tackle Exhibition (CIFTE) has been moved to run alongside its sister consumer event from May 25th to 27th.
The exhibition was due to take place between May 20th and May 22nd next year, three days before the consumer-focused Suzhou Shanghua Show. The original plan was for traders have their own event and then be able to expand their knowledge of the Chinese domestic market by experiencing the consumer show.
However, the China Fishing Tackle Association – organiser of both shows – said that the number of exhibitors taking up booth space for the CIFTE meant that there was not enough space to accommodate them all.
It explained: “We approached the Suzhou International Expo Centre in a bid to expand space for the trade event, but because of its other commitments, the venue could not accommodate us.
“As a result, to satisfy more businesses and give them the opportunity to present their products to tackle buyers from both home and abroad in a more effective way, we decided to make the move.
“The scale of the new-look show not only gives domestic fishing tackle manufacturers the opportunity to present their products to the home market, but also overseas buyers at one event. It also gives foreign visitors a better chance to understand the Chinese fishing tackle industry and its angling styles.”
