The latest addition to Spro’s Fat Papa crank bait series is the brainchild of BASS Elite pro angler, Russ Lane.
↑ Spro's Fat Papa Squarebill Crankbait comes in a number of colours, including Bluegill (top) and Chartreuse Black (bottom).
↑ Red Craw is another pattern that features in the new Russ Lane-inspired Fat Papa Squarebill Crankbait Series from Spro.

BASS Elite Series pro Russ Lane is the brains behind Spro’s Fat Papa Squarebill Crankbait, a new lure modeled on the body profile of the original Fat Papa crankbait series.

This latest design has developed the bait into an all-terrain, shallow-diving lure with a custom balsa bait action, the difference being that it provides the durability of modern injection-moulded crankbaits, says Spro.

Its extreme buoyancy means it will float out of snags and can be deflected off most types of cover, making it particularly effective for shallow water bass. The square bill construction produces a tight wobbling, hunting action.

Features include Gamakatsu treble hooks and a range of colour patterns designed by Russ Lane.  The 1/2oz model measures fractionally over two inches while the 3/4oz version is 2 3/4in long.
