Yakutsu Banzai is a tuna fishing rod with a light rod tip to a cast bait or lure as light as 28g.
It has a flexible belly section to withstand the shocks of a tuna’s erratic run and improved power at the lower half of the rod to subdue the strong fish.
The rod blank is made of full carbon with four-axial carbon fibre layout. Layers of carbon fibres in +45°, -45° and 90° are wrapped over regular 0° carbon fibre core running along the length of the blank. The 0° layout serves as the core basis of the rod, providing for the lightweight casting ability of fishing rod. +45° and -45° carbon are fused together to for a ‘spring’ within the blank, allowing the blank to have greater flexibility and reducing stress load on the rod caused by the constant bending of the rod during Tuna fishing. 90° carbon fibre runs along the surface perpendicular to the rod blank, increasing the surface rigidity of the rod, thereby reducing possibility of the blank wall collapsing and improving the lifting power.
