EFTTEX just a day away
EFTTEX – Europe’s biggest recreational fishing tackle trade show – is just a day away.
As the exhibition approaches, organisers of the Brussels showcase are reminding everyone to:
• Be aware of the new days of the exhibition;
• Attend EFTTA’s Annual General Assembly;
• Learn more about your legal rights by attending its Internet Counterfeit Seminar.
For the first time EFTTEX starts on a Thursday (June 12th) instead of its traditional Friday opening and finishes on Saturday (June 14th) rather than Sunday.
Opening and registration times are: Thursday – Registration: from 8am; Open: 9am to 5.30pm; Friday – Registration: from 9.30am; Open: 10am to 5.30pm; Saturday – Registration: from 8.30am; Open: 9am to 4pm.
Ticket prices on the day are: €50 (retailers); €75 (wholesalers); €200 (manufacturers and agents).
The EFTTA AGA takes place on Friday, June 13th at The Cinedoc Room, Administration Building, Brussels Expo near the hall from 7.30am.
The meeting is an opportunity for members to hear the Board of Directors report on its activities over the last 12 months and – more importantly – a chance for members to have their say on how the organisation is run and other important issues.
All members are invited to attend and speak. Each full member company has one vote. If a full member wishes to vote, but cannot attend the meeting, it can appoint a proxy to vote on its behalf. A proxy form is available by emailing Janet Doyle. The form must be returned to Janet before the meeting.
Any member wishing to submit a motion to be discussed at the AGA should contact Janet immediately.
All EFTTA members – full or discretionary – attending the AGA will be entered in a draw to win a year’s free membership of EFTTA.
Anyone concerned by unscrupulous trading on the internet is advised to attend the Internet Counterfeit Seminar which is being hosted by EFTTA’s expert legal business patent lawyer, Tania Clark.
Many companies within the fishing tackle industry have been hit by rogue traders selling imitations of their products on the internet – a practice that has risen considerable in previous years.
Tania will be giving advice on what the rights of manufacturers are in such situations and what actions are available to them to prevent this happening.
Don’t miss her hour-long seminar which takes place from 2pm on Friday 13th June in the Seminar Room, Stand P29. It is open to all and free of charge.
