EFTTA has cut the duration of next year’s EFTTEX trade show in the Czech Republic.
The event, normally a three-day affair, will now take place on only two – Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, – at the PVA Expo, Prague, the venue for this year’s doomed event. Saturday is traditionally the worst attended day of the show.
No reason has been given by EFTTA for a shortened version of the show.
A press release, signed by the Board and CEO, Olivier Portrat, said: “All stand bookings will be rolled over to the re-arranged 2021 show in line with the terms of the EFTTEX exhibitor’s contracts.
“The EFTTA Board asks all exhibitors to accept this as the most practical solution in order to maintain the solvency of EFTTA and EFTTEX. The association can then continue to financially support the invaluable lobbying efforts on behalf of the European fishing tackle industry and also be in a position to successfully run EFTTEX 2021.
“Naturally the EFTTA Board would have preferred a different outcome, but these are unprecedented times and this is the only viable solution.”
