Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle Company, the only manufacturer of American-made fish hooks, celebrated its special status at the White House on Monday.
It was invited to the third annual Made in America Showcase in the US capital, attended by US President Donald Trump.
Founded in 1925, Eagle Claw has remained steadfast in its commitment to American manufacturing. “Our commitment to making our products at home is one of the biggest strengths of Eagle Claw,” said Mike Jackson, President of the Denver, Colorado-based business. “It has made us the innovation leader of hook manufacturing.”
Businesses from each of the 50 states were invited to display their products at the event. “We were excited to once again host these businesses at the White House,” said a White House official. “President Trump and his Administration are proud to tout businesses that create jobs and support our local communities.”
Eagle Claw credits in-house engineering that develops the manufacturing technologies to produce the hooks, as well as the American labour force running the machines for its respected position in the fishing industry.
