DuraSafe, the US designer and manufacturer of locks and towing devices, has received the North American Fishing Club (NAFC) Seal of Approval for its Electronic Lock (E-Lock®).

More than 125 NAFC members returned a 98% recommended rating after testing out the safety device, with the E-Lock ranking highest for ease of use, effectiveness and performance.

Says DuraSafe: “Marine electronics are an easy target for thieves. They can quickly unscrew the knobs, unplug the cords and in a matter of seconds the electronics are gone. But the E-Lock secures bracket-mounted electronics, leaving a thief with no alternative but to move on.”

Feedback from NAFC members, who field-tested the new product, praised it for its simple five-piece assembly, straightforward installation, versatility in fitting various types of mount and modest pricing. The E-Lock is a welcome alternative to removing electronics when a boat is docked overnight, says the NAFC.

The E-Lock fits most major brands, including Cobra, Eagle, Garmin, Humminbird, Icom, Lowrance, Raymarine, Standard Horizon and Uniden.
