Daiwa UK surprises trade with bait brand launch

Daiwa UK this week revealed details its new brand, Advantage Baits, which will be distributed to its stockists in readiness for the new season.

Tackle giant, Daiwa – famed for its rods and reels – has announced the launch of a major new brand in one of the most competitive sectors within the industry.

The UK arm of the operation has introduced Advantage Baits in readiness for the new season. It will initially offer its retail stockists a variety of groundbaits, method boxes and hookbaits.

The news has come as a major surprise within industry circles and has been described by Daiwa UK Marketing Manager, Stephen McCaveny as the company’s ‘best-kept secret’ over the last two years of development.

The new brand is fronted by former world and European match fishing champion, Will Raison, who has worked with Daiwa’s product development team on the initial bait line-up.
