Tackle giant, Daiwa, has launched a new product showcase website to coincide with next week’s ICAST 2020 Online.
↑ The new website launched by Daiwa features an updated version of its Saltiga LD reel which features the smoothest, most powerful lever drag available today, according to the company.

With ICAST 2020 Online just around the corner, Daiwa has launched a purpose-built ‘product showcase’ website to introduce a wide range of its newest products.

The site, which went live just before the weekend, will host tackle from rods and reels to line and accessories.

One of the headline products revealed on the site is the Daiwa Saltiga LD reel, a completely redesigned model that, says Daiwa, features the smoothest, most powerful lever drag available today.

Covering inshore, near-shore and offshore, the series includes six single-speed models, 10 two-speed and two special-purpose tournament-style sailfish designs.

All Saltiga LDs feature a one-piece, machined aluminium frame and sideplate to ensure the precise alignment of bearings and gears, less flex, more power and reduced binding.

The company’s Advanced Tournament Drag system (ATD) keeps the reel cool while providing maximum pressure.

And the Executive Saltiga Five Year Warranty and Service is the best warranty in the market, says Daiwa.

The company has also announced the next generation of its BG saltwater spinning reels featuring a one-piece Monocoque aluminium body, making the BG MQ lighter and stronger than before.

The comprehensive collection is designed for everything from inshore to heavy offshore. Models include the BGMQ2500D-H for speckled trout through to the BGMQ20000 for giant Bluefin tuna.

The reels also incorporate an all-aluminium frame and Digigear technology and, according to Daiwa, the gears are 20% to 40% larger when compared to most other reels in the category, with tests showing the gear life is one to three times the length of those from competitors.

Daiwa has also taken the wraps off more reels, J-Fluoro Samurai line, the Tackle Barn tackle organiser and a range of new lures.
